As of presstime April 27, the following numbers were released by the Wood County Health Department:
•12,900 cases since March 2020–an increase of 98 since last week.
•217 deaths (one more since last week) and 634 hospitalizations since March 2020 (11 more since last week).
In the past two weeks, there have been 219 active cases. By zip code, there are 80 in Perrysburg, 52 in Bowling Green, 17 in North Baltimore, 17 in Northwood, 12 in Rossford, 11 in Walbridge, 9 in Pemberville, 8 in Wayne, 8 at BGSU and 5 in Cygnet.
Cases in long-term care facilities are no longer being reported by the health department.
At Rossford Schools, as of April 16, there were 32 students and no staff members quarantined, or separated due to being exposed to someone with the virus. No students and no staff members were isolated due to having a confirmed coronavirus case.
According to the Ohio Department of Health, 4,601,907 Ohioans have received at least the first round of the COVID-19 vaccine, which equals 39.4 percent of the population.
In Wood County, 58,667 people, or 44.9 percent of the population, have been vaccinated with at least the first dose.
In Lucas County, there have been 166,764 people, or 38.9 percent, vaccinated with at least the first dose.
