The Rossford Tree Commission hosted an Arbor Day event on April 26, at 10 a.m., in Veterans Park. Pictured above, a majestic red oak tree was planted in front of the park’s new concession stand in honor of Arbor Day 2024. Below, Mayor Neil MacKinnon III read the Arbor Day Proclamation. Rossford City Councilman Larry Oberdorf was in attendance along with a group of area citizens. Members of the Rossford Tree Commission are Gary Mosiniak, Vicki Gallagher, Sarah Krafty, Michael Krafty, Valerie Pitzen, Doug Brimmer, Scott Lodge and administrative assistants Sally Pietrasz and Jennifer Havener. Krafty, at right, also spoke on the importance of trees in our community and the red oak tree in particular.
