The City of Rossford kicked off the holiday season with the traditional tree lighting ceremony Monday on the front lawn of the municipal building on Osborn Street.

Father Scott Woods of All Saints Catholic Church gave the blessing, and Mayor Neil MacKinnon III turned on the lights as a crowd of residents watched.

All Saints school children and the Rossford High School choir sang Christmas carols and afterward, children had the opportunity to visit with Santa Claus.
