Stanley “Uncle Stan” Jeziorowski, 73, of Rossford, passed away early December 10, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Perrysburg.

Uncle Stan ultimately decided to forego a memorial service, but we sure did have fun planning a fake one. He was an iconic Rossford Schools crossing guard for many years and came up with the idea that the ushers would dress up as crossing guards to direct people to their seats. He wanted the space decorated like a birthday party with a clown making balloon animals and a camel for people to ride in the parking lot. The room would be filled with life-size cutouts of him in goofy poses, making goofy faces. He wanted whoopie cushions hidden on all the chairs. He wanted his favorite old-school 50s and 60s

music to be blaring (and he proceeded to sing each song in his amazing, super-low baritone voice, reminiscing about his youth). He wanted a hidden zapper in the greeter’s hand as they met people and shook their hands. He wanted us all to wear fake mustaches in honor of his amazing ‘stache and he wanted his coffin to be filled with Bingo daubers. Uncle Stan was the ultimate prankster and he had a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed.

Stan was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Jeziorowski; his mother, Mary (Ball) Jeziorowski; sisters, Cathy (Jerry) Porter, Deanna (Bruce) Morgan, brother-in-law, Jerry Porter, and great-nephew, Austin Jeziorowski. He is survived by his brother, Ron (Vicki) Jeziorowski; sister, Donna Perkins; nieces, Laura Lau, Amy (Doug) Austin, Jenny (Jason) Wise, Julie (Chris) White and Brent (Crystal) Jeziorowski, along with a dozen greatnieces and nephews, and his two special friends, Connie Ott and Marge Bair.

In lieu of monetary donations, please play a silly prank on someone and have a good laugh—it’s what Stan would love most.
