Franklin Rex Martin
Franklin Rex Martin, age 60, of Rossford, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018. Rex was born on August 4, 1957, in Toledo, to Shirley Arlene (Wamer) and Franklin Gary Martin. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a master carpenter who could turn an ordinary piece of wood into something beautiful. Before his disability he would willingly help out anyone in need. His passion was fishing. Rex was known to be a lover of animals and a very caring person. He will be greatly missed by those he left behind. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet “Jan” of 32 years; mother, Shirley (Floyd) Shinn; sisters, Barb (George) Kanfield, Kathleen (Jim Peer) Pelow and Sonya Miller; brother, David (Joanna) Martin; special sister- in-law, Marilyn McNalley; honorary son and daughter in-law, Dan (Christy) McNalley, and honorary grandsons, Mason and twins, Maxwell and Mitchell McNalley. Rex is also survived by his feline children, Max and Olivia, and many nieces and nephews. Rex was preceded in death by his father, Franklin; stepmother, Mary (Ragland) Martin; grandparents, Dorothy Spring and Lucille and Vern Martin. In accordance with the wishes of Rex, there will be no visitation, and services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford.
