Christine A. Nietrzeba, age 76, of Rossford, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Toledo Hospital. She was born on July 26, 1942, in Toledo, to Bernard and Juanita (Doyle) Meyers. Christine married Richard Nietrzeba on April 25, 1964, and together they raised four children. Christine touched many lives through her work cleaning homes. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, hunting mushrooms and asparagus, fishing with the family, and working in the garden and with her flowers. Her greatest joy in life was her family and spending time with them. Surviving is her husband, Richard, of 54 years; children, Lora (John) Rombach, Richard, and Kevin (Chris) Nietrzeba; grandchildren, Megan Schultz, Rebecca, Julie, and John Rombach; great-granddaughter, Paisley Schultz; sisters, Linda Myers, Rose Thompson, Sylvia Hartsock and Becky Gunn, and brother, Jerry (Linda) Meyers. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Christine was preceded in death by her son, Steven Nietrzeba, and several of her 13 siblings. Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Road, on Tuesday, September 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with the Rev. Anthony Recker officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
