TARTA to explore new vision for area public transportation

Thwarted in their plan to use a new sales tax for funding, TARTA officials are regrouping for next year.
 
James Gee, TARTA general manager, announced the public transit authority’s plans in a letter to Rossford City Council, read at Monday’s council meeting.
 
“While our efforts were not successful, it did provide an opportunity for valuable dialogue with our member communities,” he said. “The transit and road repair sales tax had many positive attributes that appealed to people throughout the county.”
