School schedule, procedures in development for fall
In the midst of all the uncertainty that COVID-19 has created, Rossford Schools Superintendent Dan Creps is grateful for one sure fact—that students will come back to classrooms this fall.
“We are just elated to hear that,” he said at the June 8 meeting of the Rossford Board of Education, following the governor’s announcement that in-person classes will take place in Ohio for 2020-21.
While waiting on further guidance from the Ohio Department of Education and Wood County health department, he said Rossford will keep the same school year calendar that the board approved.
Mr. Creps appreciates county health commissioner Ben Batey’s “balanced approach” to making plans and emphasis on local control.
Classes begin August 20 and 21, take a three-day break at Thanksgiving, and return for three weeks of school before Christmas break December 21 to January 1.
