Football greats Galloway, Gradkowski share limelight at Parker’s Purpose 10th anniversary
On an uplifting evening, former pro football players Joey Galloway and Bruce Gradkowski shared the stage July 27 at the annual Parker’s Purpose fund-raiser.
The northwest Ohio charity– coordinated by Rossford High School head football coach and teacher Todd Drusback–is celebrating its 10th anniversary of assisting hundreds of families and collecting more than $350,000.
All funds help local families who have experienced a crisis involving life-altering illnesses, mostly afflicting children.
The event began as a spaghetti dinner hosted by football team families at Fremont St. Joseph’s High School as a way to help 8- year-old Parker Inks, who has muscular dystrophy.
He endeared himself to the St. Joe’s football team and Coach Drusback as the team’s ball and kicking tee boy.
