Feminist and Air Force general featured at Chautauqua June 19-23
Two historical figures will be highlighted at Ohio Chautauqua describing accomplishments in places where they were never expected.
Feminist author Betty Friedan and Benjamin O. Davis Jr.–the first African- American general in the U.S. Air Force–are two of the five “Modern Legends” featured in the 19th annual tour of Ohio Chautauqua, where history comes to life.
“Ohio Chautauqua is a five-day event that combines living history performances, music, education and audience participation into a oneof- a-kind cultural event the entire community will enjoy,” said Beth Genson, director of the Rossford Convention and Visitors Bureau.
