community explores new elementary
Rossford Elementary School opened last weekend—not for the first day of school but to welcome more than a thousand community members curious about the new building.
On Saturday morning, a dedication ceremony took place where school leaders proudly noted the long road to construction of new facilities and shared their appreciation for everyone who supported the efforts.
Superintendent Dan Creps compared the day to a birthday party “where we all just want to get to the gift and tear it open and see the building.”
Parents, he noted, are equally as excited at birthday parties to give the gift to their children.
“Growing up, my parents used to talk about the importance of education—the greatest gift you can give to somebody,” Mr. Creps said.
