City council holds off on inspection fees for some rental property owners

Rossford City Council will assess property owners for unmowed grass and unshoveled snow, but are holding off fining landlords for unpaid registration and inspection fees.

At an August 27 meeting, council voted to place unpaid fees as liens on property tax bills through the Wood County auditor’s office.

The assessments are: snow removal–Kiran and Mithilesh Tamirisa, $240; and grass/weed cutting– Robert L. Simpson, $200; Clyde L. Kynard Jr. and Stephanie Kynard, $200; Deutche Bank, trustee, $1,550; Louis T. Bauer, $375; Thigpen Properties, $315.
