Virginia June (Eikost) Faunce, the Family’s Grand Lady, formerly from Point Place, began her journey to heaven on May 1, 2018. Born on January 7, 1919, to Clarence and Stella Eikost in Toledo. She was blessed with many talents. Always “the glue that held everything together.” A former beautician and scrabble master, she loved to be “hands on.” She always dressed very neatly, keeping her home in museum form. Ginny was a 50+ year member of Dendarah Court, Eastern Stars, EGETS, and the Lady's Shrine. A graduate of Point Place High School, she met and married Jack Faunce Sr. Together they raised three sons, Jack Jr., Richard and Barry (Sandra) Faunce. Ginny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; sister and brother; and daughters-inlaw, Suzanne and Charlotte. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jack, Traci, Terry, Todd, Brett and Shelby; many great-grandchildren, neighbors and dear friends. She has left a lifetime of memories for our family. The funeral service for Ginny was held May 7, at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home. Interment followed in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Contributions may be considered to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, www.shrinershospitals for children.org. Many thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their expert care of Ginny.
