JANICE E. WEIL (VOLKER)
Janice E. (Jan) Weil, 81, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on October 15, 2019.
Jan was born on February 7, 1938, in Duluth, Minnesota, as the fourth child of Harold and Marion (Harrington) Eadie.
Raised on the shores of Lake Superior, Jan was a 1956 graduate of Duluth Central High School. She relocated to Toledo, Ohio, in 1958 and was a resident of the Point Place community for nearly 40 years.
Jan was employed by the former First Federal Savings and Loan of Toledo for nearly 30 years and retired as the manager of the Point Place branch location while holding the corporate title of assistant secretary.
She and her late husband, Randy, moved from Toledo to Bradenton in 1995, aboard their beloved sailboat, Summer Quarters. This was just one of the many adventures that took the pair across the USA by land and sea.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Volker; brother, Harold (Bruce) Eadie, and sister, Nancy Vivian.
Jan is survived by her children, Richard, Daniel (Jennifer) and David Volker; step-children, Randall Weil Jr., Tamara (Bill) Martre, Christal (John) Perez and Daniel Weil; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Eadie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private service in Bradenton in the spring of 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of choice.
