City offers free disposal day Nov. 24
The City of Toledo will host its final free disposal day for the year for Toledo residents on Saturday, November 24. Items can be taken to the landfill at 3962 Hoffman Road from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bulky solid waste items, such as excess trash, furniture, carpeting, mattresses, wood waste and scrap metal will be accepted.
A current utility bill and valid photo ID are required to verify residency.
Citizens should enter the landfill via Manhattan Boulevard and unload their own vehicles.
Items that will not be accepted at the free disposal days are paint, hazardous waste, oil, TVs, monitors, chemicals, asbestos, liquid waste, mercury, propane tanks, medical waste, yard waste, steel drums, industrial waste, corrosive or caustic materials, items containing freon (refrigerators, air conditioners, etc.) or flammable, poisonous or toxic materials,
Tires and boats will be accepted for a fee.
