Brian P. Perkins, 64, of Point Place, died surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was born to the late Alvin and Betty Perkins on June 30, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio. Brian was a proud union member of the Boilermakers Local 85 and Laborers Local 500 Union, retiring in 2016. He made countless friends throughout his lifetime and left a lasting memory on all he met. He frequently traveled to Florida and worked on the Gulf Oil Rigs. Brian lived life to its fullest through boating, spending time with his family and adventuring. He raced motorcycles, flat track motorcycle racing being his favorite. He also was quite the entrepreneur and always looking for some new venture, his most favorite being his hot dog cart, Perky’s Hot Dogs-Brats- Sausages- “The Dog that snaps!” Brian is survived by his daughter, Casey (Jacob) Weiser; siblings, Michael L. (Gail) Perkins, David (Mary) Perkins, and Pamela (Stephen) Thompson-Toth; beloved grandchildren, Blake, Owen and Max, and many loving close nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Sunday, April 29, at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 North Summit Street, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services were held Monday, April 30, at David R. Jasin- Hoening Funeral Home, officiated by Father David Cirata. A luncheon was held following the service at the Ottawa River Yacht Club.
