WALLACE “WALLY” SCREPTOCK
Wallace “Wally” Francis Screptock, age 73, passed away at his home in Rossford surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Rossford who graduated from Rossford High School in 1962. He retired from Pilkington (Libby-Owens-Ford) as a supervisor after working more than 38 years. Wally was a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a strong and proud man who kept to his beliefs and who always said what was on his mind. He loved his family, hunting, and fishing. He loved the outdoors and could never sit still for long. Wally was always doing something around the house to keep busy. He was kind of a “Jack of all Trades.” He was the kind of man you went to for advice and answers to your problems. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Shawn; granddaughter, Skylar, and sister, Deloris (Val) Gacik. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Niedzwiecki) and Frank Screptock. “My husband has made me laugh. Wiped my tears. Hugged me tight. Watched me succeed. Seen me fail. Cheered me on. Kept me going strong. My husband is a promise from God that I will have a friend forever.” Friends were received Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 East Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, with a Memorial Service which began at 11 a.m. Burial was private. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, OH. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Online condolences may be made to the family at www.witzlershank.com.
