Virginia M. (Sarver) Sargent, 93, of Perrysburg, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at the Manor of Perrysburg. She was born on October 3, 1924, in the village of Perrysburg, to Gilbert and Mildred (Ellerman) Sarver. She graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1941. Virginia married her sweetheart, Paul H. Sargent, on February 18, 1942, in Perrysburg and together they raised their family. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, Perrysburg Chapter #446 O.E.S. and The Ladies’ Oriental Shrine of North America. Virginia was a Toledo Area Miniature enthusiast and owned her own ceramic shop, Idle Hour Ceramic, where she also taught ceramics. Virginia is survived by her husband, Paul; children, David A. (Carolyn) Sargent, Andrea L. (David) Rex and Melissa S. Sargent; six grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat- grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends were received Friday, February 9, at Witzler- Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133). Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 10. Burial was in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery.
