State representative seeks support for ‘no label’ bill
Being pulled over by police while operating a motor vehicle can be a trying experience for the average driver, but for those with communication or other disabilities, it can be a nightmare.
To help those drivers, State Representatives Theresa Gavarone and Scott Wiggam have proposed legislation that has already passed the house and is now in the Ohio Senate.
At the August 2 Perrysburg Township trustees meeting, Mrs. Gavarone discussed House Bill 115 If it becomes law, HB 115 would require the Department of Public Safety to establish a database of persons diagnosed with a communication disability and to require the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities Agency to establish a verification form for persons to voluntarily register for inclusion in the database.
