Perrysburg Spirit of Serving mobilizes to build ramp at home for boy with muscular dystrophy

When Kadee Anstadt, assistant superintendent of Perrysburg Schools, learned of a student with muscular dystrophy who needed help, she sprung into action.

“He, his parents and three siblings moved in several months ago but did not have a ramp. So, I reached out to a group of parents in our district called Perrysburg Spirit of Serving.

“They are a group of people with various talents and a heart to serve,” Dr. Anstadt said.

With lumber donated by 84 Lumber, the group of about 20 volunteers built the little boy a ramp so he could move easily in and out of his house.

Perrysburg Spirit of Serving is a 501(c)(3) organization which evolved from Grace United Methodist Church’s mission trips.
