New member joins board
At the January 10 organizational meeting, the Penta Career Center Board of Education appointed Judith Paredes president of the board for 2018. Ms. Paredes represents the Wood County Educational Service Center.
Ken Sutter, who represents Rossford School District, was elected vice president. The board is comprised of nine members who are appointed by their respective boards of education.
Joining the board this year is Eric Benington, representing the Perrysburg Board of Education. He replaces Mark Schoenlein, who served for 16 years as Perrysburg’s representative.
Mr. Benington, whose service to the Penta board runs through December 31, 2020, was appointed in September 2016 to the Perrysburg school board and elected to a four-year term last November. He is the chief financial officer for Rudolph Libbe.
