Local Republicans release statements on Householder arrest
Last week’s arrest of Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder and four colleagues has prompted questions for local Republican state representatives. Mr. Householder and
Mr. Householder and Matthew Borges, former chairman of the Ohio Republican Party and lobbyist; Jeffrey Longstreth, campaign and political strategist; Neil Clark, lobbyist and owner of Grant Street Consultants; and Juan Cespedes, lobbyist, are alleged to have been part of a bribery scheme involving the state’s $1 billion nuclear plant bailout.
State Representative Haraz Ghanbari said he “first learned of these deeply troubling allegations” involving Speaker Larry Householder and others through breaking news reports.
