Graduation requirements concern school leaders
The official pathways to graduation for Ohio high school students include a variety of ways to earn the required credits.
However, local school officials would like to see state leaders settle those pathways, once and for all.
“We don’t want to give out diplomas like candy,” said Superintendent Ron Matter at the June 5 Penta Career Center board meeting. “But you can’t make such a high threshold that some students are left out.”
