France honors Perrysburg World War II veteran Arthur Thornton

As a child during World War II, he had seen this plane shot down near his village, La Boissière in Normandy, France. The plane crashed, and all perished. A monument to these men was created in the village with this particular photo as part of it. He had trouble identifying one person, his name was Arthur Thornton, who he knew was from Perrysburg.
