Downtown businesses make a move, hoping for downtown DORA
Downtown business owners are hoping Perrysburg City Council hears their argument that the DORA belongs downtown.
A designated outdoor refreshment area allows patrons at specified bars and restaurants to leave the premises with beer, wine and alcohol in a specialized or particular 16-ounce cup for further consumption in the common areas of the center.
As of May 2015, Ohio cities with populations of more than 35,000 have been legally able to designate one outdoor refreshment area where people may walk outside with open containers of alcohol.
Sylvania, Napoleon and Toledo all have DORAs.
