Dorr Street interchange receives significant TRAC funding
Funding for the proposed I-475/Dorr Street interchange received a major boost from ODOT’s Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) recently.
At the February 20 Springfield Township Trustees meeting, administrator Mike Hampton announced that TRAC awarded $18 million for the $41 million highway improvement.
“That’s pretty significant,” he said, noting the remainder of the funding will come from ODOT, $11 million, and the township, Lucas County engineer’s office and an anonymous private party, $12 million.
In a January 31 letter to the township, Patrick McColley, ODOT district deputy director, wrote, “This project scored 83 points, making it the highest scoring project in the history of the TRAC.”
