Glen L. McLaughlin
Glen L. McLaughlin passed away unexpectedly at his home in Florida on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He came to Oregon, Ohio, at the age of 18. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for 31 years at Libbey-Owens-Ford. After retiring in 1982, he moved with his wife to Ellenton, Florida. He loved golf, fishing and playing cards. Mr. McLaughlin leaves behind his wife, Betty, of Rossford, who he was married to for 62 years. He also is survived by his son, Gary (Dianne) of Seattle, Washington; one granddaughter, Lexi, and son, Steve of Perrysburg. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services were held in Florida on February 10. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight. I am the starshine of the night. I am the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die.
