Council moves forward for second fire station on Fort Meigs Road

At the February 6 meeting of Perrysburg City Council, there was a round of applause from firefighters after council unanimously voted to seek bids for construction of the new fire station on Fort Meigs Road. Council approved two ordinances to move forward with the second station. The city will advertise and seek bids for the construction phase.

The second ordinance authorizes the city to pay costs of construction phase services under the agreement with Lathrop Company for construction management services for the Fort Meigs Road station. According to the ordinance, “Having completed the preconstruction phase services, the following costs comprise the necessary and required construction phase services of construction management;
