Christmas cheer spread by ‘Cops and Kids’ with holiday shopping
The Wood County Fraternal Order of Police hosted its annual Cops and Kids Shopping event December 9 at the Meijer store in Rossford.
The seventh annual program paired police officers with 140 area children who receive money to spend on clothing and toys.
“Police officers from each and every jurisdiction in the area participate in Cops and Kids,” said Dan Van Vorhis, president of the Wood County FOP.
“This is more than just shopping, it is about building positive relationships between the kids and police officers.”
