Randall W. Hunt, formerly of Rossford, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, November 19, 2017. He was born in Sandusky on March 1, 1960, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1978. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Ohio University and began his career as a commodity broker with Waldock Investment Company, before becoming an investment broker with Paine Webber. He was a broker for over 30 years for various firms and was well respected in his field. Randy was an avid gun collector, learning to shoot at an early age, as his grandfather had the hunt gun club. Hunting with his favorite brown labs was his favorite sport along with boating. He adored his two daughters and took them on many trips through the Caribbean and U.S. He was very proud of their accomplishments. Randy was a former president of the YMCA in Perrysburg, former president of Eagle Point Colony, Rossford, board member of the Main Street Association, and various other organizations. He is survived by his daughters, Stacie (Blair) Cathcart of Columbus, Ohio, and Danielle Hunt of Atlanta, Georgia; mother, Jo Ann Hunt-Spore; stepfather, Judson Spore; stepbrother, John (Mary) Spore; sister-in-law, Laura Hunt of Wadsworth, Ohio; aunt, Amelia Hunt and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack W. Hunt in 2004; brother, Jeffrey D. Hunt in 2016; grandparents, P.N. and Viola Hunt, and Wesley and Ruth Trieschmann. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory is assisting the family.
