Martha A. Tremsky, of Rossford, was born to Gabriel and Helen (Badik) Palka on April 22, 1934, and passed away on November 2, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to everyone. She graduated from Rossford High School in 1952, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She and her beloved husband Larry were married on May 7, 1955. Music was an important part of Martha’s life. She sang in the choir at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church (now All Saints Catholic Church) in Rossford for most of her life, where she and her family were life-long, active members. She and her husband also were members of the Notre Dame Club of Toledo. Martha was very devoted to her Catholic faith, and proud of her Slovak heritage. Martha was an active volunteer at Sts. Cyril and Methodius School, Alter Elementary School and St. Francis de Sales High School. She was a long-time member of the same Bunco group, as well as a stitching group and an ovarian cancer support group. She also was a member of many committees over time at church, including the hospitality committee and senior ministry of All Saints Church, as well as a volunteer at the St. Louis Soup Kitchen. After being a stay-athome mom for 24 years, she worked at Myers Dixie Pharmacy, Walters Pharmacy, and Southwyck Mall. She and Larry loved to travel, and she was particularly fond of lighthouses. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jo Palka; in-laws, Lawrence and Agnes Tremsky, and sister- in-law, Agnes Tremsky. Martha is survived by her beloved husband, Larry; sons, Larry and David, daughter-in-law, Beth; granddaughter, Peyton; sister, Agnes (Vince) Langevin; nieces, Chris Langevin and Joyce (Rich) Almester; nephew, Vince Langevin; her uncle, Tom (Alice) Badik, and many cousins. She also is survived by her friends, Sister Jordan Schaefer, Molly Jakubec and Judy Heban. Family and friends visited at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Road, on Sunday, November 5. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford on Monday, November 6. Interment followed at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg. In lieu of flowers, Martha requested that donations be made to either All Saints Catholic Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
