‘Engine 17 is now in service, 10:15 a.m., Thursday, October 5’
It is a fire service tradition–the announcement and dedication of a new fire engine to the community.
Last week, Perrysburg Fire Division followed tradition with a wetdown, wipedown and pushing of the new $700,000 rescue engine into the station bay.
Now retired Fire Chief Jeff Klein welcomed community members, officials and city administrators to the ceremony.
“In the 10 years that I have been chief, the support that we have gotten from the community, elected officials, the city administration to help us meet the needs and the challenges that we have had has just been outstanding,” he said. “And I believe this a true testament of that support. We truly appreciate it. Thank you.”
