The Lucas County Fair will kick off its 160th season on July 10, with a flurry of special events, including the crowning of a fair king and queen, scarecrow contest and beer and wine competition.

The 15th annual Toledo Lighthouse Waterfront Festival will be held July 7 and 8. Hours on Saturday are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The weather was not entirely cooperative with this year’s Point Place Days festivities, but that did not dampen the spirits of those who attended the many events held throughout the month.
