Village council creates park improvement fund for projects

With an increasing number of park projects on the books, Holland Village Council approved the creation of a park improvement fund to pay for the work.

At the August 8 meeting, Mayor Mike Yunker provided council with a punch list of projects.

They include new restrooms near children’s playground and new playground equipment to expand play area at Strawberry Acres Park; fencing at Strawberry Acres and Rail Park field; resealing of park path and parking lots; exercise equipment along park path; replacing stone with mulch at playground; new signage at point area and new signs in interior of Strawberry Acres; improvements to pickleball courts, refinishing existing courts and adding an additional one; new parking lots for Community building and Rail Park field; additional parking at Strawberry Acres Park; concrete pads for park picnic tables, and other miscellaneous items.
