Springfield Township trustees modify zoning code to accommodate marijuana facilities
The Springfield Township trustees approved modifications to the zoning resolution as it pertains to marijuana facilities.
At the November 6 meeting, planning director Jacob Barnes presented the trustees with text amendments for medical marijuana businesses.
The new language specifically describes locations and hours of operation.
It states, in part, “medical marijuana facilities shall not be located within 500 feet of any school (K-12), church, public park, public playground, public library, preschool, child day care center, publicly-owned property or other use established specifically for the activities of minors.”
