Springfield BOE hears maintenance report
At the September 27 meeting, Dustin Hamilton, maintenance director, provided the Springfield school board with an update of work performed over the past year.
He said work on the old bus compound lot has been completed, and upgrades include concrete ribbons and a smoother, safer surface.
Board member Ken Musch reminded the board the work was paid by the Ohio Department of Transportation, from funds the board received when ODOT acquired a temporary right-of-way for the underpass project.
Upgrades over the summer break include the replacement of classroom carpets with longer life vinyl and recoating gymnasium floors. “Most of the work was done in-house,” Mr. Hamilton explained.
