SLS students head back to classrooms
Springfield Schools students and staff are back to meeting in-person at their respective schools.
At the January 13 board of education meeting, Superintendent Matt Geha said the students’ return to the hybrid learning model occurred January 19, after more than a month of online learning.
Like other districts in Lucas County, Springfield moved to full remote learning at the advice of the Lucas County Health Department following a surge in COVID-19 cases that began in late October and continued through the holiday season.
Mr. Geha noted that Springfield decided to continue online instruction for 14 days after New Year’s Eve, to avoid spread of the virus.
