County engineer projects approved in Holland area

At the January 5 meeting, the Lucas County commissioners approved several projects on tap with county sanitary engineer Jim Shaw.

They awarded a contract with Matzak Inc. of Ray, Michigan, for the underground storage tank fuel system upgrade at the southwest pump station in Holland.

Cost for the project will be $179,500, which fell below the engineer’s estimate of $182,669.
