ARDELL WILLIAMS
Ardell L. Williams, 102, formerly of east Toledo, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, at the Orchard Villa Nursing Home in Oregon. She was born on February 1, 1906, in Crystal City, Missouri, to James and Freida (Heinemann) Williams. She was employed with the former Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company as an executive secretary for 49 years. She is survived by nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In accordance with Ms. Williams’s wishes, there was no visitation and services were private at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements were made by the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford.


EDWARD ULINSKI
Edward Walter Ulinski, 70, of Oregon, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008. He was born on March 2, 1938, in Toledo, to Edward and Angela (Nawrocki) Ulinski. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Lebanon Crisis. He retired from Doehler Jarvis, where he had been a die setter for 32 years. Mr. Ulinski is survived by his wife, Sheri (Behrendt) Ulinski; sons, Thomas (Joan) Sprouse and Steven (Kelly) Ulinski; daughters, Kathleen Holt, Diana Ulinski and Angela LaChance; step-children, Heather (George) McAllister, Jennifer Behrendt and Michael (Stacee) Behrendt; brothers, Karl (Marcella) Ulinski and Tim (Pam) Ulinski; sisters, Sylvia (Tom) Wodarski, Loretta (Clarence) Komorowski, Sue (Larry) Bialecki and Christine (Andrew) Jackson, and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet; brother, Conrad, and sisterin- law, Rose Ulinski. A celebration of Mr. Ulinsi’s life was held at his home on Saturday, August 30. Arrangements were made by the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.




ROBERT POWELL

Robert D. Powell, 80, of Perrysburg, died Monday, September 1, 2008, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born on June 23, 1928, in Toledo, to Robert S. and Jeanette (Stuckey) Powell. He was a 1947 graduate of Port Clinton High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany. He married Marian Madden on August 31, 1955. He was employed with A&P Tea Co. for 36 years before retiring in 1983. He attended Main Street United Brethren Church. Mr. Powell was an avid fan of auto racing and worked on race cars in the 1960s with Don Litten for Kenny Lay, Rollie Beale, Larry Dickson and Irish Jim McCune and later with Jim McCune and Irish Jimmy McCune. He and his son were devoted Ohio State fans. He was a former member of the American Legion Post 0888 in Columbus. Mr. Powell is survived by his son, Robert Powell of Perrysburg; brother, Ronald (Virginia) Powell of Costa Mesa, California; niece, Alice Dargartz; nephew, Jim McCune, and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian, in January 2000. He also was preceded in death by his brother, Raymon Powell. Friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Road, on Thursday, September 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery.




BERTHA EVERHARDT

Bertha Everhardt, 92, of Perrysburg, died August 26, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1916, in southern Ohio to Martin and Isabella (James) Havens. On March 15, 1939, she married Donald Everhardt. She is survived by her children, Janet (Anthony) Giaimo, Barbara Frye, and Donald (Debra) Everhardt; grandchildren, Tracey Launder, David (Lisa) Giaimo, Kris Frye, Michelle Frye, Brett (Jory Thomas) Everhardt, Brad (Sharon Lindhorst) Everhardt; greatgrandchildren, Tara Launder, Ryan Launder, Kyle Giaimo and Justin Giaimo, and great-great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jacob and Parker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, in 1974. She also was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were held August 29, in the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, with the Rev. Candice Thomas officiating. Interment was in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
