Rossford Record Journal Obituaries 2010 Kenneth James Cluckey, 68, of Oregon, Ohio, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1942, in Toledo, to Dorn and Gladys (Beale) Cluckey. He graduated from Clay High School in 1960, and then served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966. After being honorably discharged, he worked for the Chrysler Corporation for 32 years, retiring in 1994 as a fork lift operator. During his time at Chrysler, he was a shop steward and a union steward. For more than 25 years, Mr. Cluckey held various elected positions at Jeep Country FCU, including president, vice president, and loan officer. He enjoyed sports; he played semi-pro football with the Toledo Tornadoes from 1961-62. He was an umpire for the Federation League, coached the Jeep women’s softball team and was a Local 12 commissioner for the men’s softball league. His hobbies included Tony Stewart Racing, the New York Yankees, old car shows, traveling and cooking. He was a member of the Rossford Eagles #2322, American Legion #0888, and the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Linda (Shepherd) Cluckey; children, Keith (Andrea) Cluckey, Kim Mansour and Kris Kastle; siblings, Al (Donna) Cluckey, Glenn Cluckey, Doris Hartford, Roger Cluckey, Norma Cluckey, Mike (Pat) Cluckey, Debora Melvin, and Carl (Maria) Cluckey; grandchildren, Josef, Amber (Seth), Sami, Daynah, Jami and Jasmyn; great-grandchildren, Khalid and Domotov. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra (Materni) Cluckey, and brothers, Jerry and Dwayne Cluckey. Family and friends may visit today, July 22, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Road. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Ballavia officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Marvin A. “Tex” Warton, 92, of Perrysburg, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at the Avalon by Otterbein. He was born April 23, 1918, in Vernon, Texas, to Fred and Ellie (Weathers) Warton. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served his country during World War II. He retired from the Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Co., where he had worked as a boiler operator. Mr. Wharton was a member of the Holy Cross Council #5139 Knights of Columbus, the Rossford VFW Post and the Maumee Masonic Lodge. He also was a lifetime and original member of the Tangle Wood Golf Course. Mr. Warton is survived by his sons, Marvin “Sonny” (Gail) and John (Pam) Warton; daughter, Marie Pheils; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Freda Baldwin and Ruth Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose, and his brothers, Bill, JW, Robert and David Warton A recitation of the Rosary was held Sunday, July 18, at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, by members of the Holy Cross Council #5139 Knights of Columbus. Prayer Services began Monday, July 19, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. Burial was in St. Rose Cemetery. Dolores A. Frautschi, 79, of Rossford, died Friday, July 2, 2010, at her home. She was born on July 26, 1930, in Toledo, to Lester and Mary Bihl. She married Arnold Frautschi on October 5, 1950. She worked as a bookkeeper for 10 years before retiring to spend time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, needlepoint, and playing video games with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Carol (Joe) Sharp and Nanette (Carlos) Saucedo; grandchildren, Melissa and Joshua Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold in February 2005; brother, Jerry, and sister, Blandina. In keeping with her wishes, services and interment will be private. MARY JANE SCHWERTFEGER Charles “Chuck” Campos, 75, of east Toledo died June 27, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on September 11, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas, to John and Irene (Martinez) Campos. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, he was employed with the Kroger Co. as a head meat cutter for 41 years. An avid golfer, he was a club champion at Hidden Hills Golf Course. He was a life member of VFW Post 606 in west Toledo. Mr. Campos is survived by his wife of 20 years, Bonnie (Reed) Campos; son, Charles Campos; daughters, Pat (Steve) Snow, Denise Rothwell, Nancy (Robert) Villagomez, Betty Christianson and Jacqueline Whyte; stepchildren, John (Mary) Stover, Dawn (Ray) Harmon, and Jill (Jim) Deneau; brother, Frank Campos; sisters, Mary Jane Gonzalez, Connie (Rudy) Flores, Delores Lemon and Josephine Campos; 20 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; special aunt, Josephine Campos; many nieces and nephews, and good friends, Jim Sedlar and Richard Swiatek. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery in Millbury. DARREL CORNWELL IRENE KUJAWA Barbara Ann Dobron McDade, 63, of Rossford, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born on February 6, 1947, in Toledo, to John and Josephine (Gorka) Dobron. She was a 1965 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve in 1969 with a bachelor of arts degree in English. She was employed as a teacher and over the years taught at both the elementary and high school levels. She was accomplished in art and enjoyed literature. Ms. McDade is survived by her son, Alex McDade IV; grandchildren, Bethany Plank McDade and Brendan Moon McDade; sister, Josephine Dobron; special cousin, Sophie Witham, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be private. JOHN BEROTH Joanne Marie Cook, 63, of east Toledo, died Friday, June 18, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born in Toledo, on August 28, 1947, to Stanley and Evelyn (Szymarik) Delikate. She was a cook for many years at West Toledo Health Care and Arbors of Oregon. She enjoyed baking and was an accomplished cake decorator. She enjoyed traveling and taking trips to Las Vegas. She is survived by her son, David Cook, and her sister, Kathy Middlebrooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Cook, in 2002, and her parents. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 23, in the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford. Interment was private. JANICE KOPERSKI DENNIS MARSH MARY SOVIAR Antonio C. Yap, M.D., 77, of Perrysburg, died Sunday, June 20, 2010, in his home. For more than 35 years, Dr. Yap cared for the families of the greater Toledo- area as a pediatrician. He was an active advocate for health care reform. Along with a private practice that he started in 1972, Dr. Yap served as former chief of pediatrics for Flower and Mercy Hospitals. He also served on the medical staff of St. Luke’s, St. Charles, St. Vincent, Toledo Children’s and Toledo Hospital. He has been recognized for his 20 years of service to Mercy Hospital and 25 years of service to St. Luke’s Hospital and 30 years of service to Flower Hospital. Dr. Yap was born on June 13, 1933, to Martina and Crescencio Yap in Romblon, Philippines. At the age of six, he was left an orphan along with his 12 brothers and sisters with the early passing of his parents. He was raised by his eldest sister, Felicitas Chua, and brother-in-law, Mateo, who encouraged him to be a physician. In 1962, he graduated from Manila Central University with his doctor of medicine degree. In 1963, he arrived in the United States to complete his residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. He began his private practice in 1972, and has since then cared for more than 20,000 infants, children and adolescents. Dr. Yap was a founding member of Special Commission on Relief and Education (SCORE), a philanthropic group focused on providing medical, surgical care and education to the medically underserved areas of the Philippines. He also has served in many leadership positions in the Toledo community on numerous boards and medical organizations. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nilza; children, Antoinette (Mark) Wilson, Yvonne (Allan) Donaldson, Gil and Eric Yap; grandsons, Alec, Carter and Hunter; siblings, Felicitas, Louisa and Dominidor, and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 25, at 11 a.m., at St. Rose Church, 215 East Front Street, Perrysburg. There will be a reception at the Yap residence following the service. Janice Louise (Emmick) Baden, 64, of Rossford, died Monday, June 14, 2010, in her home. She received her registered nursing degree from Mercy School of Nursing in 1966. In 1987, she received the Nursing Excellence Award for Community Services at Mercy Hospital. In 1990, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Toledo, with a master’s degree in education. She was a licensed professional counselor, licensed social worker, a certified trauma and loss counselor and a school specialist. She had more than 20 years of experience as a grief counselor. She was the director of bereavement services for Hospice of Monroe, Michigan, for 10 years. During that time she developed many grief support groups and provided bereavement counseling for the Monroe community. In 2001, she cofounded the family grief center, Gabby’s Ladder, Inc., in memory of her son Joey, and served as its director as well and a grief counselor. Through her guidance, Gabby’s Ladder has provided grief support and education to more than 10,000 people since its doors opened. She was a leader in the Monroe community in creating the Suicide Prevention Manual of Monroe County, Michigan. She published a journal workbook for grieving teens, “Risen Heart the Light Within” in 2005. She was involved in presenting workshops about grieving children and adults in the schools, churches and community organizations throughout Michigan and Ohio. She was very involved in the Catholic Diocese, beginning with the Parish Nurse Ministries in Fremont, Ohio, and then locally in the All Saints Parish Community. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed her roses. She also enjoyed traveling up north, jet skiing with her husband and their rides to Port Clinton, Ohio. She also enjoyed shopping with her sisters. In 1989, she decided to learn how to play the piano and began lessons. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard Baden; son, Daniel (Cathleen) Baden; grandsons, John (Voyles) and Ezra Joseph; sisters, Joyce Rober and Linda Carr; 10 nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph. Family and friends may visit today, June 17, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Road, where recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 18, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church. ROSIE SABO Thomas “Tom” Rossler, 72, of Ten Sleep, Wyoming, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming. He was born March 20, 1938, in Toledo, to Joseph and Ruth (Blatter) Rossler. He attended schools in Rossford, and graduated from Rossford High School in 1956. He earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Toledo and master’s of educational administration degree from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He married Elouise Germann on July 25, 1970, in Delta, Ohio, and they had two sons. He worked in the law enforcement field as a part-time officer before beginning his career in education. He held a long-time interest in law enforcement and encouraged his sons in that direction. Mr. Rossler was a math and business teacher who began his career as a permanent substitute in Detroit, Michigan. For a number of years, he taught in Ida in Lower Michigan and Delta in northern Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Rossler moved to northern Michigan, where he became a federal project administrator for a Federal Follow Through Program in Lincoln, Michigan. He then became the elementary principal of five schools in the same district. In the thumb area of Michigan, Mr. Rossler became superintendent of schools in the Akron-Fairgrove district. He held superintendencies in East Jordan and North Dickinson-Upper Peninsula schools. He retired from Michigan to work as a superintendent in Crivitz, Wisconsin. Upon retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Rossler moved to Ten Sleep, where they soon became the volunteer managers of the United Methodist Circle J Ranch and Retreat Center located in Ten Sleep Canyon, where Mr. Rossler combined his care for children and his Christian faith to benefit youth at the camp. He was an active father who fished, hunted, boated and camped with his family. He enjoyed traveling the West with his family. He enjoyed family church activities throughout his life, most recently in Ten Sleep and at Circle J Ranch Camp. He enjoyed the camaraderie of the men’s breakfast group in Ten Sleep. Mr. Rossler is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Elouise; sons, Alan (Anna) Rossler of Thermopolis and Ryan (Kami) Rossler of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; granddaughter, Jessa Mae; brother, Tim (Peggy) of White Cloud and his sons, Eric (Jill), and Michael; his mother-in-law, May Germann; brothers-in-law, Arnold and Ronald (Petria) Germann; sister-in-law, Donna (Tom) Germann Edwards; cousins, Dennis Smith and Jim (Lil) Rossler and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 20, at the Ten Sleep United Methodist Church with Rev. Huston Green officiating. Interment was in the Ten Sleep Cemetery. They may be sent in care of Bryant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 524, Worland, Wyoming 83401. DANIEL RUSH GLENN IGO Robert M. Bower, 79, of Rossford, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on July 28, 1930 to Clair and Fern (Snyder) Bower in Delta, Ohio. After the death of his parents at the age of 12, he lived in the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home in Xenia, Ohio. At age 20 he joined the Army and was a Pfc. from 1951 until 1953, when he was honorably discharged. After his return from the service, he went to work as a cement mason for Quality Concrete retiring in 1986. Mr. Bower was a member of Local 886. On May 2, 1959, he married Gloria Wisniewski. They were married 51 years. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, and four stepsons, Joseph (Cindy) Tutak, Gary (Pat) Tutak, Don Tutak and Edward “Skip” (Karen) Tutak. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his brothers, James and Larry. Services will be private. Chetister, 91, of Rossford, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at her residence. She was born on November 3, 1918, in Rossford, to John and Julia (Toman) Peer. Ms. Chetister was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime active member of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, playing bunko, traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, Alan Chetister of Jonesboro, Arkansas; daughter, Constance (Lee) Stokes; sister, Agnes Floro. Also surviving are six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Chetister; daughter, Christine Synowski; son, Sonny Chetister; daughter in-law, Donna Chetister; siblings, Mary Przybylski, Marge, Joseph, Thomas, Steve, Mike and Richard Peer. Gwozdz, 89, of Rossford, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on May 11, 1921, in Toledo, to Louis and Josephine (Brila) Katafiasz. She was a homemaker and raised five children, three of whom she adopted. She also opened her home to 13 foster children. Ms. Gwozdz volunteered her time as a tax preparer for AARP and working the voting booths during elections. She was a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church, where she was a member the Rosary Society, L.C.B.A. and the Ladies Guild. She also was a member of the Rossford Seniors. She enjoyed following sports, especially Notre Dame football and the Toledo Mud Hens. She also enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are her sons, Marty Gwozdz, Larry (Laura) Gwozdz and David (Bonnie) Gwozdz; daughters, Janine Gwozdz and Theresa Cook; brother; Raymond (Ginny) Katafiasz; grandchildren, Lindsy, Scott (Kelly), Jessica (Miles), Jennifer (Cristian), Joseph, Michelle, Andrew and Lacy; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Noah, Matthew, Garret and Nicholas. Also surviving are many cousins, including her best friend, Sabina Gladieux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry of 44 years, and brother, Joseph Katafiasz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Thursday, May 27, at 10 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, where the family will greet visitors beginning at 9 a.m., in the church narthex. KUNIGUNDE “CONNIE” MARCHLEWSKI Eleanor Ann Konieczny, 87, of Rossford, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the home of her daughter. A lifelong Rossford resident, she was born on January 19, 1923, to Peter and Sadie (Kornasiewicz) Zuchowski. She was a graduate of Rossford High School. She worked at the Rossford Ordnance Depot and retired from Libbey- Owens-Ford Co. She was a member of the LCBA, All Saints Ladies Guild and a 50+ year member of the Salesians. She and her husband, Leonard, enjoyed traveling, dancing, reading, playing rummy and spending time with her family. Ms. Konieczny enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, especially her lemon meringue pies. She is survived by her son, David Konieczny of Rossford; daughter, Debby (Dan) Burns of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Derek (Jenny) Burns of Scottsdale, Arizona, Justin Burns of Lexington, Kentucky, Jackie Burns of Perrysburg; sister-in-law, Dorothy Zuchowski of Perrysburg, and special cousin, Dolores Dominickowski of Rossford. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Leonard, and brother, Leonard Zuchowski. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 18, in the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, with the Rev. Russell Aaron Frautschi, 89, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Bay Park Hospital. He was born on March 24, 1921, to Walter and Lillian (Robbins) Frautschi, in Perrysburg. He was a 1939 graduate of Rossford High School and received a degree from the University of Toledo. He worked for six months at Willys Overland, before he entered the Army Air Corps on July 29, 1942. In the Corps, he was trained as a radio operator technical sergeant. He was assigned to the Middle Eastern Theater on July 4, 1943, during World War II. On his 14th bombing mission over Breman, Germany, his B-17 was shot down. Injured by flak shrapnel, he bailed out only to be captured by enemy forces. After 20 months as a prisoner of war, he was released on June 3, 1945, as the war concluded. He earned the Purple Heart, Air Medal (with oak leaf cluster, Prisoner of War Medal, European-African- Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal (with combat V). He was a partner of Frautschi Bros. Hardware in Rossford from 1947 to 1989. He married Betty Jane Leck on July 14, 1947. His memberships included Bethlehem Lutheran Church, lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, 381st Bomb Group, Stalag 17B Association, and Wall of Heroes. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jane Frautschi; daughters, Sandra (Mike) Fitch, Debra (K. James) Lay, Jr.; son, Jack (Pat) Frautschi; grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsea and Cassandra Fitch, K.J. III, Kaitlyn and Kyle Lay and Whitney and Russell Shane Frautschi. He was preceded in death was his brother, Lewis Frautschi. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 18, at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, with the Rev. Douglas Haryu presiding. Interment was in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. DEBORAH BRAZELTON MARIA JONES Dorothy J. Kmotorka, 80, of Rossford, died April 30, 2010. She was born on July 29, 1929, in Toledo, to Julia (Henkel) and A.F. Phillips Sr. She lived in Toledo most of her life, except living 10 years in Deerfield Beach, Florida, after retirement. She retired from American Motors Jeep after 30 years. She was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, Local 12 UAW and Bay View Yacht Club. She held the position of president of the Ladies Auxiliary at Bay View. She also was an auxiliary member of VFW Post #162, Deerfield Beach, and Moose Lodge #2157, Pompano, Florida. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Joe) Ball of Rossford and Robin (Sam) Rayner of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Ken Palicki Jr., Kevin (Theresa) Palicki, Jessica (Jeremy) Vedra, Erik (Angela) Fought and Chris Fought; great-grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Gage, Damien, Shea-Lynn Palicki, Carina Fought, Trevor and Vincent Palicki; stepgrandchildren, Erica (Max) Wodzak, Michelle (Bill) Kratt, Joseph (Monica) Ball and Jeffery Ball. Edwin Rew Jr., 86, of east Toledo, died Sunday, May 2, 2010, at his home. He was born on June 28, 1923, in Toledo, to Edwin and Jeanette (Price) Rew. Mr. Rew was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II. After the war, he went to work as a millwright for Libbey- Owens-Ford Glass Co., retiring in 1980. He is survived by his sons, Phillip (Mary) Rew and Michael (Marie) Rew; daughter, Jeanette (Steven) Schneider; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, in 1999. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 5, in the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, with the Rev. Jerry Craig officiating. Interment was in Restlawn Memorial Park. ELEANOR VOSKA Charlesetta Ransom Stewart, 87, died April 12, 2010. She had a passion for food and was able as director of dietary training to meet the needs of patients at Toledo Hospital for nearly 30 years. She is survived by her son, Richard (Dawn) Stewart and brother, Melvin Ransom; grandsons, Karl (Curtina), Joel, and greatgrandchildren, Jordyn and Devon Stewart. He was born January 10, 1924, in Depew, New York, to Kazimer and Mary Anna (Glanz) Przybylowski. He married Helen Nekoranec on May 7, 1949, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church in Rossford. He was a World War II veteran who served his country in the Army Air Force. He worked for Libbey- Owens-Ford Glass Co. for more than 30 years and retired in 1977. Mr. Przybylowski was a 50-year member of the church choir and a 50-year member of VFW Post in Rossford. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and Notre Dame football, and was a voracious reader. He also enjoyed history, gardening and planning trips. The daughter of Phillip and Mary (Malusek) Valasek, formerly of Vnorovy, Moravia, she was born June 10, 1918, in Toledo. She was married to Joseph Jagos, in Toledo, on November 25, 1939. He was born in Findlay, on December 21, 1921, to Dewey and Sylvia (Taylor) Roller. He attended Vanlue High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He continued his education at Tiffin University, earning a degree in accounting. He then went on to Ohio State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree. He entered the Marines in 1942, and served for 22 years, earning the rank of captain. He continued to serve his country in the National Guard for an additional 17 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed building things, including three homes, a dune buggy and cars. His memberships included the VFW, Elks and American Legion. She also was known for her flower and vegetable gardens, and traveling throughout the United States and Ireland. She was the oldest of three daughters of Marshall and Cora Van Cleve. She was married to Floyd Conrad for more than 56 years and they had one son, Mark Conrad. Ms. Conrad was a 1942 graduate of Maumee High School, where she was a member of the school’s National Honor Society. After high school, she worked at the Toledo Trust Bank for more than 10 years. After beginning her family, she became a secretary in the Rossford Public Schools. She worked as a secretary in both the junior high and high school for a total of more than 25 years. During her career, she was named the Clerical Employee of the Year for the school district. She was an active member of the Rossford United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. Mr. Ulm was an avid golfer, having played at prestigious courses around the country, including Pebble Beach, Augusta National and Torrey Pines. After graduation, Mr. Killian served his country in the Marines in the 3rd Marine Division, B Company in Guam and Iwo Jima during World War II. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, and a Silver Star. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he married Rose Krasula and worked in the automotive industry in quality control. Mr. Killian was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Rossford, where he enjoyed working the parish festivals, and was a member of the Rossford VFW. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, hunting and fishing. Shortly after graduation, Mr. Shallo enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II. He married Rosie Mermer, in Rossford, on September 17, 1949. He began working at Bahr’s Furniture Store in Toledo at the age of 13. He went on to purchase the store and continued operating it until his death. She was born on April 9, 1922, in Rossford, to Anthony and Pauline (Bober) Masnyk. She was a graduate of Rossford High School. She met her husband, John Lamp, at the Rossford Ordnance in 1948. After marrying Mr. Lamp, who made his career in the military, Mrs. Lamp went to work for the Department of Defense as a civilian for many years. She was a former member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and a St. Joan of Arc Parish member. She enjoyed spending her free time painting and reading. She traveled extensively in her life and even went sky diving when she was 56 years old. She enjoyed cooking and knitting. She met her fiancé, Robert Rovnan, three years ago and enjoyed her social life with him. Ms. Stanford is survived by her children, Tracie Kester-Stanford, Amanda Stanford, Morgan McCoy and Jerry Stanford Jr.; seven grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; mother, Lillian Draves, and brother, Robert Draves Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Draves. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 23, at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, with the Rev. Jerry Craig officiating. Interment was private.
