Point & Shoreland Journal Obituaries Linda A. Adamski, 53, died Monday, August 25, 2008, in St. Anne Mercy Hospital. She was born July 18, 1955, in Toledo, to Donald and Anne (Gozdowski) Adamski. She worked both in the medical field as an office assistant and also in the Catholic Church as a church musician. As a talented church musician, she was the organist at various Catholic churches in the area which included St. Richard in Swanton, Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Jude and most recently St. John the Baptist. She also enhanced liturgies and ceremonies with her vocals. Among her peers, she was known as “The Voice.” She enjoyed nature and wildlife. Ms. Adamski is survived by her siblings, Matthew (Kathy) Adamski, Steven (Patricia) Adamski, Sharon (Ronald) Van Buskirk, Donald (Michelle) Adamski, Karen (Richard) McFarland; cousin, Kathy Avedisian and special friends, Brian Smith and the Rev. Mark Herzog. A Funeral Mass was celebrated August 29, at 11 a.m., in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Arrangements were made by the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe. Memorial donations may be given to St. John the Baptist School Scholarship Fund 2729 124th Street, Toledo, Ohio 43611. John H. Cousino, 72, of Toledo, died Monday, August 25, 2008. He was born in Toledo, to Loyd and Dora (Veler) Cousino. He was a police officer for the City of Toledo for 26 years, retiring in 1990. Mr. Cousino served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #40 and Toledo Police Retirees. In the past, he enjoyed playing hockey and ice skating. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol (Grzymkowski); daughter, Callie Jo (Tom Jr.) Smith; grandson, Nolan Smith; brothers, Paul, Glen, Harold, and Roy Cousino, and sisters, Mary Matsumoto and Dorothy Palmer. FOP services were held August 27, in the David R. Jasin Funeral Home. Visitation and a funeral mass were held August 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, 2500 North Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43615. |
